The Rules are simple:
1. Theatre artists and fans alike gather together as a collective to read Shakespeare from the first folio. Yes the first folio, first of it's name, ruler of the....and I will stop there before copyright infringement. It is a hard folio.
2. If they mess up they drink!
In order for us to present the material for competition we like to test them first and that is where these Tester Nights come in so that competitors don't get all...testy during the competition. Also beer is served and tonight we had some great pairings! So let's get into it!
1) Lost Craft beer best paired with a comedy play. Such as A Midsummer Night Dream. Light refreshing, A beer to enjoy with your loved one and get LOST in the craft of a love. Perhaps a beer for a Midsummer Night. Certainly a good beer to dream about.
2) Ruby Cove. A wedding beer fit for a ruby like a red weddin......oh god Robb Stark no. No no rather a happy wedding, a flighty and fun wedding liike Phebe from As You Like It. Believe as this beer is We Like it.
Of course, our amazing event is sponsored once again by the ever-delicious Amsterdam Brewery, so tune in next week for some exciting taste testers from there.
If YOU want to be a part of the next test night, be sure to shoot us an email at [email protected].
And don't forget to get your tickets! These test nights are happening to prepare us for #ShakesbeersShowdown: #RevengeOfThe5th, happening Sunday May 5th at 918 Bathurst. We will sell out, so be sure to get yours while you still can! Click here to go right to the site
