The 2014 ensemble is led by a team of dynamic up-and-coming directors, including Shakespeare-In-The-Ruff’s Andrew Joseph Richardson, Good Old Neon’s Nicole Wilson and 2014 Toronto Fringe’s New Play Winner Alexander Offord, FringeKids Frequent Kyle Villeneuve, Theatre Brouhaha’s Tom McGee, and the SOTMSC’s, Victoria Urquhart. Performing in the ensemble is Hart House Theatre’s Erin Eldershaw, Emma Burns, Erin Roche, Andrew Gaunce, Ale House Theatre’s Andrea Massoud, and Wilex Ly.
The Shakespeare-In-Hospitals Program provides arts engagement as distraction and relief on a voluntary basis to patients, clients, and communities in hospitals, hospices, senior residences and shelters throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Performances of Shakespearean scenes, monologues, and choral pieces are developed and performed for audiences in atriums, cafeterias, waiting rooms, and even in patients’ rooms throughout the year.
