ABOUT SPUR-OF-THE-MOMENT SHAKESPEARE COLLECTIVE
The Spur-of-the-Moment-Shakespeare Collective is a youth-led group of artists dedicated to breaking down barriers surrounding Shakespearean text, thereby making the Bard's work more accessible. This is done through performing classical pieces spontaneously in modern spaces, demonstrating the humanity of each story in a current context.
We also strive to provide cyclical-benefit projects for artists and the community. Emerging artists need to hone and develop their skills, and there are several opportunities to do so while benefiting the surrounding community. Therefore, we seek to satisfy one need with another.
